Professional Development often indicates days or weeks of instruction that teachers use out of context and only for that time. Upon return to their classrooms, they become overwhelmed by the notes they scribbled down and are unable to reproduce anything. Innovative, single-focused PD is the answer to teacher problems. This session demonstrates a short PD activity as a model for how to create regular, meaningful, and useful PD opportunities for teachers.
Ph.D. Candidate from Michigan State University's Educational Psychology and Educational Technology program. Research interests in teacher technology motivations, writing, and technology integration.
